Visitor Parking

Access to central campus is restricted from 7:45 to 5:00 Monday through Friday while school is in session, and 8:00 to 2:00 Monday through Friday during the summer and at all other times

500 visitor spaces are available in the Mississippi Street Parking Garage directly north of the Kansas Union accessible from Mississippi Street and Oread Avenue. Another 250+ visitor spaces are available in the parking facility at 1501 Irving Hill Road, directly north of Allen Field House. Parking in both facilities is $1.00 per hour. Additionally, a limited number of long term meters are available in lot 90, south of Robinson Gymnasium, and in lot 19, west of the Burge Union. The long term meters are $1.00 an hour.

Visitor permits may be purchased at the Parking Department Office, 1501 Irving Hill Road, for campus areas not served by the facilities or long term meters. The cost of the permit varies for the lots. These permits are valid in regular stalls and at long term meters in the areas designated on the permit. (ie. a yellow visitor permit allows you to park in a yellow zone, a red in red and yellow, and a blue in blue, red, and yellow zones.)
