6.2 Medical permits will be sold at the rate of the temporary weekly rate in 6.1 above regardless of current permit.

6.3 Refunds. Refunds of fees paid for unused permits will be made only if application for refund is made at the KU Parking & Transit office within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of receipt of the permit. Permit must be returned (permit numbers readable) before a refund will be processed.

6.4 Payment through payroll deduction. Faculty and staff may choose the option of purchasing their parking permit through payroll deduction. The cost of the permit will be deducted from paychecks over a maximum of 16 pay periods for 9-month employees, or 26 pay periods for 12-month employees. Employees may choose to have this deduction taken out before their earnings are taxed. Permits must be returned upon termination of employment. The balance owed on the permit will be billed to the employee for unreturned permits. For application deadlines, contact KU Parking & Transit or go online. After the deadline, full payment will be required for purchase of a permit.
