The stops, shown on the route map, are marked by distinctive Park & Ride Express signs. These express buses do not make any other stops and are not intended to serve residence halls.
Parking
The Park & Ride lots (301 & 302) are available to individuals who have any valid KU parking permit. There are parking meters available for visitors using the lot. These lots are accessed from Clinton Parkway & Crestline Drive.
Getting on the Bus
Go to a designated Park & Ride Express bus stop. Take a seat or use the hand holds provided for those choosing to stand. The ramp in front of each bus can be lowered for passengers who have difficulty boarding. Please inform the driver if you need assistance in boarding. The driver has the right to restrict boardings if the bus is full.
Getting Off the Bus
Indicate to your driver when you want to get off the bus by pulling the bell cord above the windows prior to your destination stop. The bus will stop at the next designated Park and Ride Express stop. Please remain seated or grasp the hand hold until the bus has stopped. After you exit, stand to the side of the road or on the sidewalk until the bus has pulled away. For your safety, do not cross in front of the bus.
Special Events
Special events on campus that attract large crowds or disrupt normal travel patterns may disrupt the Park & Ride Express route and/or schedule. When possible, notice of such disruption may be posted in advance.
West Campus Park & Ride Lot - Parking Regulations
The Park & Ride lot is available to individuals who have purchased a West Campus Park & Ride permit. Visitors to campus and individuals with other campus parking permits may only use the Park and Ride lot by paying to park in a metered space. Other campus parking permits are valid in this lot after 5 PM.
Tips for Riders
- Be courteous of other riders.
- Smoking, eating, or drinking is not permitted.
- Place large packages under your seat and out of the aisle.
- Strollers, walking aids, and empty shopping carts must be collapsed and out of the aisle.
- Service animals trained to assist persons with disabilities are welcome. Other pets are not.
- Do not engage in inappropriate/distracting conversation with the driver while the bus is moving.
- All passengers must wear shirts and shoes.
- Please be respectful of campus buildings or businesses near bus stops and transfer points. Please pick up any trash and dispose of it properly.
